My apology for posting a query quite not related to this section.
Can I register a project consisting of two (2) identical buildings connected by a suspended bridge and both located within the declared project boundary - as one registration for LEED NC? The Total GFA is about 88,000 sq ft.
Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Eric—If the bridge between the buildings is only for circulation, your project may not meet the “one building” definition described in the MPR2 Supplemental Guidance. If you cannot qualify as one building, you may consider using the Group Approach described in the LEED Campus Guidance for Projects on a Shared Site. The Group approach allows two or more buildings to register as a single project.
For more on this approach, see this discussion on the MPR2 page: http://www.leeduser.com/comment/redirect/61593.

Hi Jon, thanks for the quick response. The suspended bridge is fully enclosed with glazing and supplied by cold air from A/C system. Does it meet the requirement to declare as one registered project?

Eric—Even though If the bridge is air-conditioned, if it is used only for circulation, the MPR2 Supplemental Guidance would define your project as two separate buildings.
There is another discussion on the PIf2 forum that addresses this in greater depth and provides links to the MPR Supplemental Guidance and other relevant documents: http://www.leeduser.com/comment/redirect/63127.
