Is there a standard way the USGBC wants the R-value of a wall assembly to be calculated taking into account the framing factor or thermal bridging that occurs with metal studs?

hi, My project is a residential building.

We have a project that will be 60-70% earth sheltered and Appendix G doesn’t seem to provide guidance on how we might demonstrate the energy savings.

I understand you can excluded up to tenant spaces up to 10% of the square footage of the building. However, our tenant spaces is slightly higher then 10%.

Could this credit be achieved if it were only proposed to treat the storm water runoff with a structural measure and not capture?

I want to clarify that ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G 2007 (sec 5.4, 6.4, 7.4, 8.4, 9.4 and 10.4 ) is applicable to Option-1 Whole building energy simulation for both EA Prerequisite 2 and EA Credit 1.

For lighting levels which have been established by the American National Standard A11.1-1965, R1970, Practice for Industrial Lighting would this qualify as an exception as listed by ASHRAE 90.1 200

Through some gross lack of coordination, my organization has three memberships to the USGBC.

A note of Table G3.1.1A of ASHRAE 90.1-2007 states that "For all-electric buildings, the heating shall be electric resistance".

If our healthcare clinic will be purchasing new medical equipment associated with this gut interior renovation, might eliminating DEHP/PVC from one of the product lines achieve an ID credit?
