Our state energy code is based on ASHRAE 90.1-2004, which I believe does not require ci for exterior walls. ASHRAE 90.1-2007 requires R-3.8 ci for nonresidential walls.

Does anybody know if electric fire pumps are exempted from energy efficiency requirements? That is, from ASHRAE 90.1 section 10.4 minimum efficiency requirements for electrical motors.
