Can someone assist and explain the best practice to assessing Metal Maintenance products for compliance with LEEDv2009? Does the product need to meet the low-VOC standards for Paints and Sealants?

We have procured certain eco-friendly products for the exterior cleaning of our facades and windows.

This is a new one for me. A building is hosting a car washing event for charity during their performance period (recent news to the LEED team).

We have a project with a stone/concrete/brick cleaner that is only used approximately every 15 years. It is biodegradable, low VOC, etc. However, it does not have GS or CCD certification.

Our purchasing team recently bought an ice melter that contains Calcium Magnesium acetate, which is not one of the three options that LEED specifies.

Would window washing products (dish soaps) that have the US EPA Design for the Environment label count as compliant for SSc2?

I'm using this credit for an Innovation in Design point for a new building/major renovation.

I have been using the LEED User template for the required written management plan.
