Conference room
NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize energy performanceposted by Francesco Passerini on
I’m modelling a school in which a conference room is going to be placed. The baseline shall be System 5 - Packaged VAV with reheat.
Renewable Energy and Green Power
NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize energy performanceposted by Joshua Bloom on
In EAc1 Related Credits (pg. 260 of BD&C Book) it says that you can mitigate energy use impacts by using renewable energy: refer to EAC2, and EAC6.
Exhaust and Outdoor Air
NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize energy performanceposted by Ramana Koti on
Dear All, We're working on the certification of a restaurant where the kitchen has an outdoor air (OA) rate of 2350 CFM, supply air at 8000 CFM, and an exhaust rate of 3675 CFM.
Baseline Energy modelling using air cooled chillers
NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize energy performanceposted by Lakshmi Suryan on
I am working on a LEED project in Qatar and wanted to query USGBC on using aircooled chillers in the baseline building instead of water cooled chillers.
Ceiling Tiles
NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize energy performanceposted by Christina Contreras on
We are currently building a school and one of our subcontractors asked if ceiling tiles count towards Energy and Atmosphere Credit 1?
Semiheated space and baseline model
NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize energy performanceposted by Francesco Passerini on
In the proposed building there is a semiheated space (climate zone 4, heating power 40 W/m^2, no ventilation, no cooling). In the baseline model shall that space be modeled without HVAC system?
Modeling the Baseline
NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize energy performanceposted by Carolina Vergnano on
I've seen some discussion about the section G3.1.1 from ASHRAE 90.1-2007, but I still have some doubt about it. I'm working in a project that is a build-to-suit office building with 13 floors.

LEED Interpretation 1600 (see below for Interpretation language), which applies to EAc1, was written for LEED-CS version 2.0.
Earth Sheltered Buildings & Energy Modeling
NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize energy performanceposted by Josie Plaut on
We have a project that will be 60-70% earth sheltered and Appendix G doesn’t seem to provide guidance on how we might demonstrate the energy savings.
