I’m modelling a school in which a conference room is going to be placed. The baseline shall be System 5 - Packaged VAV with reheat. Probably the conference room will be used two or three evenings a week, when the other spaces of the school will be unoccupied. I would suppose that the conference room will be occupied 6 hours a week. I don’t know whether for the conference room I shall apply exception b. of paragraph G3.1.1: “schedules that differ by more than 40 equivalent full-load hours per week from other spaces served by the system”. In fact, the conference room and the other spaces will be occupied in different hours but the conference room will be occupied less than 40 equivalent full-load hours per week, while the other spaces will be occupied more than 40 equivalent full-load hours per week.

This refers to a difference of 40 hours per week. If the conference room is occupied 6 hours per week and the other spaces are occupied more than 46 hours per week this exception could apply.
In my experience these spaces tend to get used more than planned so make sure to justify the very low use. Sounds like maybe more trouble than it is worth for one small room however.
