Pop-up irrigation systems

NC-2009 WEc1:Water Efficient Landscaping
posted by  Melissa Merryweather  on

My guess is "no" but are pop-up systems any more efficient than conventional irrigation? I'm not getting a verifiable answer from my supplier. Any links or old LEEDuser thread appreciated.

Full credits achieveable for less than 1% landscape?

Our project has less than 1% landscape area vs site area and therefore negligible potable water consumption for irrigation.

Are all landscaped areas within the LEED project boundary included in the calculations for this credit or just irrigated landscaped areas?

I have a partially irrigated site. Under irrigation types there are three choices, drip, sprinkler and other. What should I put for the non-irrigated areas?

Potable water backup

Can a project still earn 4 points under option 2 if a cistern has potable water backup? Could we demonstrate that it wouldn't be used through the path 1 calculations?
