I was wondering if somebody could help walk me through this aspect of PIf1. My project is a University building in which we will have limited monitoring. We are not going after measurement and verification credit. I have read on this site that USGBC allows for exceptions to providing the information. Is this recommended? How does one go about informing GBCI that one is doing this option (the credit template does not have this as an option). If the Owner does not want to use the Energy Star Portfolio Manager, what are other approved formats? Is there a list? Thanks.

I am in the same situation (building on a university), I would love to have some guidance from someone who has already accomplished this. Did you have any luck?

Renee and Terry, exemptions for universities in this situation are clearly allowed per the supplemental guidance shown above, and the MPR6 FAQs. Isn't there a box on the form to claim an exemption and enter a narrative?

Hi,
Energy Star Portfolio Manager website has recently been changed. The link previously specified for the approved format has changed. Can someone send me the approved excel format that can be filled in?

HI,
same Problem here. MPR6 FAQs say: "MPR 6 Option 2, USGBC Approved Data Template, supports compliance of projects that do not wish to maintain an ENERGY STAR account connection with USGBC or those that do not connect with USGBC through another automated service."
Where ist this "USGBC Approved Data Template" to be found?
How is it supposed to be submitted? Via E-Mail?
Links and guidance for this seem to go in circles.
We have several projects outside the U.S. btw.
EDIT: think I found it: https://portfoliomanager.energystar.gov/pm/static/downloads/templates/Me...
very simplistic. so one for each energy type?
Still wondering how its supposed to be submitted. just mail monthly to info@usgbc.org?
Thanks!

Here's a link to the Approved Data Template: www.usgbc.org/resources/usgbc-approved-data-template
The page includes instructions on when and how to submit it.
