Hey All,
I am very new to the LEED Certification thus just quiet confused about the credit, our firm has just completed 30% of Design Development Phase for a project and were thinking to consider IP credit, can we still go for this Credit?
Which is most appropriate time to apply for this credit? If a company is already into DD phase, this credit is no longer applicable?
Thank you so much for your time.

If you don't have the full reference manual, I recommend you acquire it. It provides detailed guidance on what tasks must be completed by the end of SD, which includes study of energy and water usage and major strategies for reduction. If you completed these analyses by the end of SD, you can apply for the credit. If you did not, then your design at DD is probably too far advanced to legitimately claim that the project benefited from implementing the required steps.
Documentation: The v4 version requires you to fill out a confusing worksheet. The v4.1 version instead requires a narrative. The v4.1 documentation is easier to understand and complete. Critical timing for this credit pertains to doing the analysis when it can still influence the design. The narrative can be written at any time.
