Our project has a tunnel that is totally below grade. Our initial thought is to exclude the tunnel from the building footprint, as that does not get counted in the site open area calculations. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I would agree and exclude it from the footprint. Especially since things like parking lots are exclued. It seems more liek a site feature.
