We are working on a building where the exterior walls are going to be changed very little. I have a question about the '3 layers" and the "SCOPE OF WORK". The entire building is in the scope of work, but very minimal work is planned for the exterior. Exterior Finish: The existing exterior stucco will be cleaned up and patched if necessary. A few new windows/doors are being added as well as some cosmetic stone. Stud Framing: Very little change here except where new windows & doors are added. Interior Drywall: All of the interior drywall will be cleaned up, patched where necessary. Some of it will be cut away to add new electrical boxes. Obviously where new windows and doors are added, it will be removed. we are unclear as to what layers to track. If we have an exterior wall and the surface area is to remain the same, it will simply be patched, can we still count it? If we are cutting into the drywall ever so slightly for electrical, can we count that layer? Thank you.
