I'm modeling a CS office building, but have no tenants yet. It is my understanding that I have to provide tenant HVAC equipment as per baseline building requirements to the design building, in order to run the energy modeling?? Or I just have to model the central plant and common areas HVAC??
Another question linked to the question above, what should I do, If I have to provide baseline building equipment to the design tenant space (because I don't have any tenant yet), and ASHRAE table G3.1.1.a requires me CAV DX package units, and I have a central chilled water plant?? Can I change DX package units for chilled water CAV AHU instead??

Xavi, have you reviewed CS Appendix 2 in the LEED BD&C Reference Guide? I think it addresses your energy modeling questions about tenant spaces.

Thanks.
Yes it addresses the first part of the question, but it is not clear in the second question. Regardless that I have a chilled water system, do I have to model a CAV DX package unit system for the tenants in the proposed building???, since I have to use same as the baseline building...

Model the design case with whatever system the build out will be. The Core and Shell chiller design is based on some system. You probably have AHU's selected as well. So if the plant and AHu's are designed around, say...VAV with HW Reheat, then model that in the design case.
