NC-2009 SSc7.2: Heat Island Effect—Roof
How would a project team determine the required SRI for a curved roof? Where the steepest sloped area is around 3:12, and the flatter sections are less than 2:12.

We don't know the SRI value of some roofing materials we are using. What should we do?

You will need to use the Roof Weighted Average Calculator (discussed above under the Checklists tab, and in the Documentation Toolkit) to calculate how to comply.I would use geometry to divide the roof up into at least two (or maybe more, if it seems appropriate) areas based on the approximate pitch—greater or less than 2:12.
