Hello,
Can we exclude the sound diffusing ceiling panel assemblies from the certified wood credit, and categorize them as furniture? They can be removed, if desired, so they are technically not a permanent component to the building.
Also, the sound diffusing panels are very costly in terms of price, but likely due to the other components of the assembly, if the manufacturer cannot break down the material/cost of the wood used in the assembly, can we exclude from the certified wood calculation, on the same basis we exclude the mechanical systems components?

Gary, what is included and excluded in MR credit calculations is based on Masterformat divisions. So the answer to your question is what MF section do these panels belong in?
