I have a project in which my calculated area by space by space method is slightly more than the area inserted by LEED Admin in "Gross Project Square Footage". Should these numbers match?

This is a issue that is fairly common as each discipline can measure square footage differently. Engineers often go to the interior walls, architects may go to the exterior skin of the building, etc. My best advice would be as explicit as possible with your numbers and remain consistent. Slight variations between disciplines are expected but will need to remain consistent across all documentation and drawings.

It's a good idea to cross-check LPD areas against the GSF reported under Project Information and in other documentation (such as MRp1). We recently missed this bit of Quality Control before submitting a project for preliminary Design review. The reviewers pounced on it. Further investigation reveled errors in the both the energy model and the overall GSF takeoff. We fixed the problems in our review response, but we could have done without the embarrassment.
Good for you for checking your numbers. Never assume that someone will do it for you. Bring it to you administrator's attention.
