We were thinking of using wall hanging bike racks in the underground parking area of our building. The racks do not allow for the bikes to be individually secured to the rack, however, the parking garage itself is locked / secure and only openable by staff and visitors with a pass. The racks are less than 200 yards from the entrance. My concerns are that: 1. Casual visitors to the building will generally not have easy access to this parking area. They would have to go in to reception to get a pass. 2. The bikes are secure from the public, but not from other staff or visitors. 3. Even if we do get secure racks for this space, will it be acceptable given that the casual visitors will have to go in to reception to ask for access to the parking garage before they can get to the racks. Any thoughts on whether this would be an acceptable secure parking solution?
