Secure Long-Term Storage - "Within" 100'-0" Feet

Our project is looking at providing an enclosed long-term bicycle storage area which is only accessible by key-card to FTE's who have signed the bicycle access agreement. Does the entire area of this room need to be within 100'-0" of the building entry (i.e. the farthest bike rack in walking all the way out of the room and then over to the elevator lobby)? Or does just the entrance to this secure room need to be within 100'-0" of the building entry (i.e. the door to this room walking out and over to the elevator lobby)?
