We are working on a project of a school aimed to children aged 4 months to 5 years. Nevertheless, we were wondering wether this project may be classified as School Rating System. So, we would like to know wich age covers the term "prekindergarten" for LEED, wich is the lowest age allowed in such rating system. Thanks in advance!

Where did you find the information that pre-K is the lowest age covered in LEED for Schools? According to the rating system selection guidance document (the version I'm looking at anyway), LEED for Schools is defined as K-12. But to answer your question, in the U.S. pre-K is generally ages 3 to 5, with kindergarten starting at 5.

I found this information on Reference Guide, 2009 Edition.
At section "When to Use LEED for Schools" (XVI), where it is written that projects involving postsecondary academic buildings or prekindergarten buildins may also choose to use either LEED for New Construction or LEED for Schools.
This is the reason for my doubt, since the school will serve children ages 4 months to 5 years.
