Hi,
Our offices have been following a bird collision deterrence monitoring program. The building has registered a couple of bird strikes and as a corrective measure sandblasted film was installed on the inside of the windows.
Nonetheless, we registered another bird collision. We are thinking of installing the decals on the exterior of the window, in your experience, would this measure be enough? Or should we consider implementing another option? If so, which one would you recommend?

Just as closing blinds or curtains does not stop all strikes, sandblast film application onto the inside will have little effect on bird strike avoidance; it is the reflection off of the outside pane of glass that birds attempt to pass through. the only effective solution to strikes is to protect birds from striking the glass with a barrier, or to apply reflection disruption to the external surface that both alerts birds to the surface, and with a density that birds will not attempt to fly between.
contact our organization if you would like details or options on the specifics of how to accomplish this. collidescape.org

Thanks Jeff, we found several good options on the site. By the way, does anyone know if is there is any certification available on the market for products regarding their efficiency in avoiding bird collisions?

Hello Lourdes,
There is a list of products approved & evaluated by the ABC's "Saves Birds" through their website
I Hope it helps!
