NC-2009 SSc1:Site Selection

Responsible person

Who should be the responsible person signing the letter template for this credit? Unless the LEED Consultant is a qualified expert in site development relating to the prohibitions criteria for credit compliance, what accountability does she/he has by signing the template?

L S, I don't believe that USGBC or GBCI assign any special accountability to you because you put your name on the form. Any accountability would have more to do with how you are accountable to your client, owner, or project, etc.

I don't agree. Sound like any 'Tom, Dick and Harry' calling themself LEED AP is assumed to have the specific expert knowledge and signing without accountability to the intent of the credit. Sorry Tritan, this doesn't sound rational. It is absurb!

Okay. I'm simply reporting what I've seen with this process. It sounds like you have a strong opinion. Want to tell us what's going on behind the scenes?I looked at the SSc1 form. There isn't even a place to sign off on it. What you have in LEED Online now is someone uploading that credit. The LEED project admin should be responsible for quality control.
