The Reference Guide language related to SCMs in concrete gives project teams the choice whether to include SCMs as a percentage of the entire concrete or separate them out (pg. 373); however, it does not mention, nor do any LEED Interpretations anything related to using recycled water as a part of the concrete mix. We have a supplier that uses a high percentage of recycled water in their concrete mix. As water is not SCM, we assume the water must be included in the overall mix rather than separated out like SCMs, but has anyone successfully had recycled water in concrete contribute to earning MRc5?

Ward, I haven't heard of this being done successfully, though I've heard people scheme about it. It seems like a stretch because many plants use nonpotable water and filter it, etc. Is it really not business as usual?
Not to say it's off the table, but I haven't heard of it being done successfully.
What's next, counting the air entrained? ;)
