Does anyone know what the rules are on engaging in rainwater management in Colorado? I'm under the impression that this is against the law in the state.

Jonathan, in Colorado and many western U.S. states, the rain that falls on your land is not yours, due to water laws that allocate it to users downstream. That means that capturing and using rainwater for onsite irrigation can indeed be against the law. However, I think "rainwater management" being against the law would be an overstatement. It's a physical necessity to manage rainwater. Are there specific strategies you're wondering about?
