NC-2009 SSc1:Site Selection

Previously Developed Prime Farmland

Hi, I saw a previous post and response that suggested submitting a CIR or LEED Interpretation for projects that are building on previously developed sites that are considered prime farmland. Our project is on a previously developed site and much of the previous and planned land use will be used for farming- specifically vineyards. If our project's primary purpose is farming, would USGBC look favorably on this if we decide to submit for a ruling?

Haley, I haven't seen an example of this one way or the other. I would check with GBCI, and post back here on how it goes!
