Is it there any problem to have a building precertified even so the site and building might be changed for design-construction regular certification? It is very important to have a direction on this as we are supposed to start the precertification process in the coming days. Many thanks
Andrea, I would ask USGBC in order to know for sure, but I don't see any reason why not. As long as you are in good faith precertifying the building as close as possible to what will be built, and then clearly make changes in the LEED application when it comes time to actually certify, that seems in keeping with other aspects of LEED certification.
