Plug/Process Load Studies

Hey All!

One of the initiatives from our first meeting in Chicago was to gather and develop resources related to plug and process loads in buildings which will help us all with: energy modeling, equipment sizing and power distribution.  We had our first call this morning and are rolling.  Aspirations are that this could turn into a helpful ASHRAE standard and possibly even help to modernize some of the language in the NEC regarding diversity of loads and feeder sizing.  This could even be an avenue for dialogue with product manufacturers to push harder on efficiency where we think there is opportunity.

One of our first steps is to collect any existing material or studies that could be helpful that we might not know about.  If you know of any existing white papers or formal resources on this topic, please point us in the right direction below!  We will be compiling these on a google drive being set up for this topic which I believe Shannon will be sharing soon.

Thanks!
