Patio doors and Natural Ventilation

Could a sliding patio door contribute to the total operable wall area in a naturally ventilated space, or is it windows only? (per ASHRAE 62.1-2007 paragraph 5.1)

Section 5.1.1 of the standards states ""operable wall". It does not specifically list windows or doors. I would think either windows or doors contribute to the operable wall area. Good design should include a screen door to keep out rodents. :)
