outpatient exam rooms and consult rooms

Does an outpatient exam room require the same adjustablility for shades from an exam table as an inpatient from a bed? Do we need to install motorized shades with switches at the exam table for a 30 minute checkup? Also, should consult rooms be treated like an office or like an exam room? Thanks - Kathy

No, the controls are for occupied rooms for patients who may be bed bound. The consults can go either way. Are you prepping for them to convert to office or exams? You may want to follow the long range plan.
