Reading this part of the website, I see that laboratory sinks are excluded from the credit. Where do exam room sinks fall into this?

In NC, exam room sinks are public. In HC, exam room sinks are exempted due to clinical use. No word on if you can apply the HC definition to NC projects now that HC is active. You may need a CIR.

HC rating system is mandatory for HC projects starting in 2012. HC projects registered previously to January 2012 use the NC rating system, as far as I'm aware. So, I believe if your project is already registered as NC, they should count as public, as Susan says.

Hi Patricia,
LEED-NC projects are not permitted to include exam room sinks as these are considered process water. Exam room sinks are commonly regulated by different standards and 3 uses per day would not capture the water use associated with these fixtures.
