Our project is a new construction building and will be constructed on a site that already has 2 other structures. One of the structures is a retail space, that some of the employees from the new building will work, and the other structure is a very small community workshop.

The only building going for LEED certification is the new one, its separate and distinct from the other two buildings, that part is clear.

However. what about the LEED boundary? The boundary is essentially the property line, so do we include the existing building in the LEED boundary and then just deduce their footprint(s) sq ft from our site area within the LEED boundary? We are not using any of the other structures to contribute to the LEED certification. The existing buildings share a parking lot and building owner so happen to be site.
