CS-2009 MRc3:Materials Reuse

MRc3 CS Flooring, doors and windows

We are reusing interior flooring, doors and windows. In credit MRc3 says "Walls, ceiling and flooring. If such items continue to serve their original function in the new building, they are excluded from this credit but are covered by MRc1.2". In core and shell the MRc1.2 does not exist, so were can we cover flooring in this case? At the same time MRc3 says "Items that were fixed components on-site before construction began. To qualify as reused for this credit, these items must no longer be able to serve their original functions and must then be installed for a different use or in a different location", but on the other hand also says "Other reused material found on-site. Components that are retained and continue to serve their original function are eligible for this credit". So components such as doors, railings or windows may be counted for this credit?

Are you changing the function or location of the reused/retained components? For example, removing all the doors, rehabbing them, and reinstalling them in a different layout?
