NC-v4 MPR2:Must use reasonable LEED boundaries

MPR LEED v3 vs v4

Hi! There are quite some differences between MPR v3 and v4. USGBC has published a supplemental guide on MPR for v3. Is there something similar available for v4? Specifically I would like to know if a horizontally attached building, which is a new construction to an existing building, can be considered independent of the existing building and thereby be certified independent from the existing building? However the cooling aggregate of the two buildings are not separated, but the Air Distribution System is. Thankyou!

There isn't a supplemental guide for v4. My sense is that USGBC is trying to simplify things, but the guidance would be helpful, in my opinion. In this case, is the addition basically part of the original building, or in identity and function is it quite different? What about water, doors between the spaces, naming, etc?I would still apply the older supplemental guidance here.
