Hi,
We need to undertake the Whole Building Simulation option for a school project which consists of 3 buildings on the same site - and part of the same LEED certification. The buildings vary between 2 to 4 floors, and they are not linked.
Can we do 1 thermal model for all 3 of them in one go (and thus get an average overall improvement in energy costs for the project) or would we need to model each separately?
Thanks

George, I would recommend that you check out the LEED for Multiple Buildings and On-Campus Building Application Guide, which has some items that seem pertinent to your situation. However, this is only officially applicable to LEED-NC v2.2 projects. The LEED-NC v2009 edition is in the works and USGBC says they'll have it by late spring 2010.
