Below are the construction review comments from our reviewer:
Option 2: Advanced Metering
- It is unclear if the Table: Advanced Meters includes all individual energy end-uses that represent 10% of more of the total annual consumption. It is unclear if lighting and office receptacle loads are being metered.
Update the LEED form to list all required advanced meters serving the project.
We have screen shots of the meters identifying the circuits/loads, but nothing states that all individual energy end-uses represent 10% or more of the total annual consumption. All of our office receptacle loads and all the lighting is being monitored through the advanced metering. This, in itself, tells us that the Advanced Meters represents 10% or more of the total annual consumption.
Short of us writing a summary, what will LEEDv4.1 accept as meeting the requirements of Option 2?
Thank you!

You have to write a summary to respond to the comment. Writing a clear narrative is almost always extremely helpful to the reviewer's understanding. Not sure why you would be hesitant to write a summary? In order to demonstrate that all the energy end uses over 10% are being metered you generally need to show your energy modeling results not just your electrical plans.

Marcus,
Thank you for your response. We are not hesitant to write a summary and plan to. Our dilemma is we have construction comments for several points that are cryptic and general in nature and we cannot find an example of what is required to upload for these points, to avoid an appeal. We will ask our MEP engineer to show energy modeling results also.

Hello. I got the same comments, plus the following:
"The project has a shared building AHU which serves the LEED project space and a neighboring tenant in the same floor. Provide LEED BD+C Advanced Energy Metering submittals for building-level documentation, or clarify how the space cooling end-use is accounted to this LEED project space."
Note that the base building is not a LEED building. Need help and recommendation with this. Thanks.

So how would you go about determining the energy use associated with cooling in each space?
