Jason, yes, those are occupied spaces and should comply with ASHRAE 62 requirements.

Hi Tristan, i checked the table 6-1 (min ventilation rates in breathing zones), it does not cover lockers nor shower room. any idea where i can find the OA ventilation rates for both mentioned spaces?

Jason - check Table 6-4 for minimum exhaust rates. Locker rooms are 0.50 cfm/sf, and toilets have an exhaust rate per unit based on anticipated usage.

Thank you very much, Kimberly! I was tempted to use the break room ventilation numbers for a locker... I see that table 6-4 has locker/dressing rooms and locker rooms. Do you think it is a good choice using locker/dressing rooms (0.25 cfm/sf) for locker rooms in commercial buildings? How would you define those two different types or room (locker/dressing rooms and locker rooms)?

Hi Noriko, Somehow "Locker" only appear on Table 6-4. Do we need OA to ventilate this area? If yes, then how do we determine the amount of people using the room in any one time, as this will determine the total OA cfm. My thought is to exhaust ventilate the "locker" though is fall under occupiable space definition.
