Is there an exclusion for commercial kitchens needing to meet the EQc6 mutli-occupant lighting levels? We are working on a hotel project, with a restaurant, where the kitchen has switches but not three lighting levels. The v4 EQ Overview still lists food service facility kitchen areas as shared multi-occupant spaces, but our designer is concerned for the safety of the employees.

Did you get any clarification on how to address commerical/hotel kitchens for this credit that you could share? Any insight for any other specific credits, specifically how many of the BOH spaces are included or excluded? We are in the midst of the same, thanks.

On previous projects GBCI has allowed me to exclude commercial kitchens due to life / safety concerns.
