Hi All,
We're working on a project that has a number of internal floor-to-ceiling glass walls, some of which are transparent and others are semi-transparent. I'm wondering how those are taken into account with Option 2 Strategy E. For Strategy F, the reference guide specifically says that transparent or partially transparent movable partitions are not a part of this calculation, would that apply for permanent walls in Strategy E? Or would they have an LRV of 0 and have to go toward the 10% floor area that's excluded? Thanks for the help!

Hi Gray - yes, these internal floor to ceiling glass walls that are transparent or semi-transparent could also be excluded from the calculation like the movable partitions are excluded.

Hi Lauren,
I suppose glazed walls can then also be excluded for strategy G, is that correct? What do i do if there is mainly open plan offices with near to no walls? It will be impossible to comply with strategy G or am I missing something?
Thanks for your time!

What about partially glazed walls or doors? If a door has a large translucent glass panel in the center of it, how would the LRV be calculated? Do we take the LRV of the (say wood) door material and only use the area for the wood portion or have to somehow exclude the glazing area from the total?

Kathy - Did you ever receive an answer regarding doors? Are doors supposed to be included in the LRV calculation for walls for Strategy E?
