NC-2009 MPR6:Must commit to sharing whole-building energy and water usage data

LEED-NC MPR #6, Sharing Whole-Building and Water Usage Data

We have a building that will be connected to a central Biomass Steam Plant for heating the heat pump water and providing steam to the kitchen and a future laundry. During the design phase, the steam metering capabilities were omitted due to value engineering attempts to get the project within budget. Since the steam metering was omitted due to cost savings measures, would USGBC accept the steam metering to be exempt from the MPR #6 requirement? Any information anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.

David, if a meter is not installed, you are not required to install one or to report that data for MPR6 compliance.
