LEED Interpretations

I´m not sure if this is the right fórum. But seemed like the most appropriate. My question is: Is it possible to ask for a LEED interpretation without having a project registered in LEED Online?

I tried to find where I could do it but can find the right field. Where should I go to ask for an interpretation without having the project registered yet.

Hey Tristan, i´ve located a field for interpretations under the formal inquiries, but in order to submit a interpretation (project independent), this inquiry should be related to MPRs or prerequisites only. My question is related to a specific credit. Therefore I think that i´ll have to submit it in a project related right?

Interesting. I didn't realize there was that restriction. I would suggest you contact GBCI to clarify your ability to submit the LEED Interpretation. Also if you haven't done so already feel free to ask your question on the appropriate forum here—perhaps we can shed some light.

Actually, what I want to do, is to show equivalence of a carbon offseting mechanism that we perform here in Brazil, since Green-e won´t certify any company here. We work with carbon offsets that are verified by the UNFCCC, therefore, high garanties are provided. So I´d like to ask for an interpretation of this procedure, in order to use in other LEED Projects in Brazil.

Henrique, I would contact GBCI to find out how to get a LEED Interpretation for a credit, as an unregistered project.
