There is a rumor floating around about USGBC publishing a comprehensive LEED energy modeling guide (so that reviewers and users are reading from the same pages?). Has anyone else heard such - if so, when is it due out?
I know, I know...nobody ever went broke betting that the USGBC wouldn't meet its own deadlines.

Hi Kim,
I worked on that document as a contractor. It was completed and reviewed by the EA TAG quite some time ago. Recently it was mentioned on a reviewer call and the folks in my office recall that GBCI metnioned it would be out within a month or so.
Not taking any bets here either. Hopefully it will be released soon.

The Advanced Energy Modeling for LEED Technical Manual v1.0 E-book has been released by USGBC! They're selling it for $100 to members. I'm hoping to look at a copy soon to be able to share with LEED users how useful it is.Here's the blurb:The Advanced Energy Modeling for LEED, Technical Manual v1.0 was developed by USGBC to guide project teams and LEED reviewers on EA Credit 1 requirements and documentation. The objective is to provide further information on EA Credit 1, streamline the LEED documentation process, and provide a greater degree of consistency for both LEED applications and reviewer comments. This manual should be considered a guiding document on EA Credit 1 requirements. The intended users of this manual are both LEED reviewers and applicants with intermediate or advanced understanding of energy modeling, referenced standards, and energy codes. This is primarily applicable to LEED for New Construction & Major Renovations v2.2, LEED Core & Shell v2.0, and LEED for Schools v2.0 , and can be adapted to apply to LEED Building Design and Construction 2009.

In The Advanced Energy Modeling for LEED, page 7 is said:
Baseline model
Distribute windows uniformly in horizontal bands across 4 orientations.
What means "uniformly"?
*I ask this since in App G and LEED Ref.Guide they say (in baseline): windows should be distributed in same proportions as in proposed design.
