LEED CI new tenant new registration required?

We are dealing with a certified LEED CI space, and the tenant that registered for and was awarded the certification is moving form the building. A new tenant would like to move in only if they will be able to uphold that certification raising the following questions: 1. What kind of options might the new tenant have? 2. Can a LEED Certification just rollover to the next tenant if the original tenant was the one doing the registration/documentation, and not the property manager? 3. If a new tenant moves in and does some slight remodeling, do they have to register and start the LEED process from scratch with registration fees and all of the documentation, or is there some type of exception for a space that has already been certified, so that if the new tenant meets the certification rating standard the space already has, it can just be re-certified as a LEED CI?

Summer, if the space is certiifed, the LEED certification goes with the space, and not the owner. A LEED-CI certification is permanent and does not expire or lose validity with minor renovations. If the new tenant wants to re-engage with LEED and get a fresh LEED certification to go along with signficant fit-out work, they can do that under LEED-CI.
