Hi,
I am working on a commercial project where the new owner is planning a fit-out renewal. The owner will occupy 90% of the space, with 10% being sub-let. The fit-out will occur in the owner space.
We intend to certify under the CI scheme, and as we are aiming for Gold, we are thinking about changing the main existing generating plant (air-cooled heat-pumps and gas boilers) for newer and greener plant (biomass boiler and maybe better technology heat pumps). We are however not changing the distribution system, except for changing location of some fan-coils to account for new partitioning (individual offices, etc).
We understand that changing ONLY the generating plant (or part of it) will still allow us to use the CI v2009 rating system. Is that correct?
Many thanks,
Tristan Roberts

Angel, I think you have to use LEED-NC, based on the fact that the entity doing the work owns the entire building, and the entire building is involved in the fit-out. The generation plant supports this conclusion but is secondary.
