Do I understand correctly that the only way to obtain these points under this credit is to locate the project on a site that has ALREADY been certified as a LEED Neighborhood Development? Is it possible to pursue both the v4 NC certification AND the Neighborhood Development simultaneously?

Brenda, there are two ND certification options -- Plan or Project. I would suggest you get the ND development certified at the Plan stage, and you can use that to earn this credit on your NC project.

When I go to the USGBC project directory and search for ND plan, no projects appear. Searching for ND project did yield a few projects stated as Plan versus Project. I tried to see if boundaries would be given on the case studies provided on the USGBC Directory page. No. GBIG is down. What is the best way to determine if the project sites you are looking at are in the ND program?

Hi Susan, You can use the LEED ND: Built Project filter in the USGBC.org project directory to see all LEED ND projects: http://www.usgbc.org/projects/neighborhood-development This will not show you boundary-level information, however. If you send me the address of your LEED NC project (neighborhoods@usgbc.org) I can look up your location in more detail.
