We have existing janitor closets in the base building that are on and serve the tenant floors we are building out. However, they are not in the scope of our tenant build-out (and are clearly marked as such in our submitted drawings) and therefore we filled out the template stating that janitor closets are not included in the project. We just received a reviewer comment stating that these janitor closets must be shown to comply with the exhaust, walls-to-deck, etc. provisions of the credit. Has anyone else gotten this comment, and do you think the credit language requires it?

Julie, I haven't experienced a case like this, but I could see it either way, with some leaning toward the reviewer. The credit language applies broadly to the "building" not the "tenant space" (as in WEp1). Now, it's possible that that's an oversight reflective of the credit language being copied from NC, but to untangle that you'd probably need a CIR.(By the way, if the base building were a CS project, then it would have to demonstrate compliance within the tenant spaces to earn this credit.)
