If the owner requires VOC testing, what equipment do you recommend? A PID? If so, how many ppms are permissable?

Do products applied to the weather barrier need to comply with VOC thresholds?
How do I determine what application my product falls under?
How is VOC % less water determined for aerosol adhesives?
Do grout and caulking need to be included, and if so, what is the application category?

Aliesa, it sounds like you are talking about VOC testing of the indoor environment following construction, not VOC testing of materials. The latter is better performed by labs using specific protocols.
For testing of the air quality in the building, check out IEQc3.2: Construction IAQ Management Plan—Before Occupancy. You can earn a point here for IAQ testing following certain protocols.

Thus, to earn IEQc4.1 VOC testing of materials should be performed?
(I know there is some characteristic like emissioning VOC from materials, as i understand we shouldn't measure it; just VOC content. Is it right?)

Lou, to earn this credit you should specify and use only products that meet the VOC emissions limits set by the relevant standard as shown in the credit language. This is generally done by the manufacturer, with VOC g/L information provided to the project. It is not necessary for you to take any measurements.
