I am working on a civic building/performing arts center which is used mostly for evening programs. Has anyone pursued a #LEED ID point based on joint-use of facilities (share building for public use) similar to the CHPS credit SS1.4?

Leticia, I don't have any direct experience with this situation to share with you, but I did want to let you know if you weren't aware of it, that SSc10: Joint Use of Facilities is also a credit under LEED for Schools. And taking a Schools credit and achieving it for a LEED point under IDc1 is a generally accepted approach. So I would say that if you can meet the SSc10 requirements, you're good to go. Let us know how it goes!

Thanks, that's what I figure. I assume if the NC project can try to pursue an ID point based on the SSc10 guideline, it will make sense. What do you think?

Yes, that's exactly the right approach. Just pursue the credit with your NC project as you would normally in terms of requirements and documentation. You should have a good chance of earning an IDc1 point for doing so. Why don't you post over on the SSc10 credit page if you have specific questions on the SSc10 requirements and how they apply to your project that you would like to discuss.
