Gather one year waste data or do a waste analysis/audit?

Dear,

The language of LEED V4.1 says that project either collect one year waste data or waste analysis. Does it means, the waste analysis is an audit which can be done based on less then 1 year collection record, and it would still be applicable?

This is correct. Projects need a minimum of 12 months of waste data and if that is not available, then a waste audit may be conducted following the requirements from v4 language.
