We are working on a phased project, we are currently in constrcution of the first phase and have started design on the second phase. Our documentation for the first phase shows a building entrance that will not remain the main entrance once the next phase is completed.
We would like to locate our bike racks for the first phase within a structure that will be built in the second phase (this is a campus). As I mentioned, the main building entrance from the first phase will change once the second phase is completed and the preferred location of the bike racks will be located within 200 yards from the new entrance.
Has anyone had any luck documenting a future intent? We can provide DD level drawings locating the bike racks as well as a letter of intent from the Owner. Since the FTE will change once we the second phase is constructed, we would make sure there are bike racks dedicated to the first phase as well as the second phase.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks

Sadie, how long till the second phase is built? I think that makes a difference here. More time elapsed will make it less credible. This credit does not officially have leeway for future intent. I think you might need to give up on the credit for now, and claim it down the road on the next phase.
