The credit language for the LEED v4 LT credit: Surrounding Density and Diverse Uses, Warehouses & Distribution Centers, option 2 lists "freight village with intermodal transportation" as a possible transportation resource. What is intermodal transportation? And Is intermodal transportation a requirement for all main logistics hubs (airports, seaports, intermodal facilities) or just for freight villages?

Hi Parker,
A quick internet search defines intermodal transportation as "the use of two or more modes, or carriers, to transport goods (freight) from shipper to consignee." Based on how the requirement is written, I don't believe airports or seaports need to specifically meet the intermodal transportation requirement.
