I am the HERS rater working on a 80+ story condominium high rise. It is intended to be a "smoking permitted" building. Some of the residential units have in-unit access to the elevators. The elevator shafts cause massive amounts of infiltration such that the units cannot pass blower door testing. RESNET MFHR guidelines do not allow the elevator doors/shafts to be sealed for testing. Everything I see indicates that the design simply does not meet the intent of the prerequisite requirements. Has anybody encountered this, and what did you do? Thanks!
