Looking at the policy example for the sustainable purchasing policy, it mentions VOC limits for architectural applications and specialty applications. Are VOC limits required for the required sustainable purchasing policy- MR credit 1? How would you address VOC limits in your sustainable purchasing policy? I hoped I'd find help in the the EPAs Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Program guidelines. The did list for adhesives.... https://www.epa.gov/greenerproducts/epas-recommendations-specifications-...
Purchases meet one or more of the following:
• South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule #1168 Adhesive and Sealant Applications1
• UL 2762 Sustainability Standard for Adhesives^1Exit
I'd appreciate any advice I can get on addressing VOCs in the sustainable purchasing policy. Thanks!

Hi Marie, the policy needs to cover MRc1 plus one other purchasing credit (MRc2, MRc3, or MRc4), but you get to choose which of those credits you want to address.
VOCs are covered by MRc3, so if you chose to exclude MRc3 from your policy, you wouldn't need to address VOC limits at all. You'd just need to cover either MRc2 or MRc4 in your policy instead.
However, the USGBC template you linked to includes everything you need for VOC limits in the Facility Alterations and Additions section. You can copy/paste this section into your policy and you're good to go.
